IMPORTANT NOTICE: This tender is subject to Regulation 8 “Local Production and Content” of the Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act, 2000: Preferential Procurement Regulations, 2017 (No. R.32 dated 20 January 2017). Submitting of the MBD 6.2 and applicable annexures are compulsory. Bidders must achieve the minimum local content for:

• Solar water Heater components
• Pumps, medium voltage (MV) motors and associated accessories
• Valves products and actuators
• Steel conveyance pipes, pipe fittings and specials
• Steel Products and Components for Construction

Tender specification documents and the banking details of the Overberg District Municipality can be obtained from Mr J Harmse at Tel: 028 050 0910 or e-mail: jharmse@odm.org.za. A non-refundable fee of R135.00 (one hundred and thirty-five rand), is payable for a set of documents. The fee must be paid by electronic payment (use company name and tender no. as reference).

Duly completed tenders must be placed in a sealed envelope endorsed “TENDER NO: T29-2020/21 – SUPPLY, SERVICE AND REPAIRS TO BOILERS, BURNERS, HOT & COLD-WATER TANKS, HEAT EXCHANGERS, CIRCULATION PUMPS AND ALL OTHER PARTS PERTAINING TO THE HOT WATER SYSTEM. The sealed tenders must be placed in the tender box at the Council Offices situated at 26 Long Street/Private Bag X22, Bredasdorp, 7280 by no later than 12:00 on Friday, 02 July 2021. Tenders will be opened in public thereafter.

Tenders submitted by fax, e-mail, or received after the closing time and date shall not be accepted.
Overberg District Municipality shall apply its Municipal Supply Chain Management Policy as adopted in terms of section 111 of the Local Government Municipal Finance Management Act, 2003 (Act No 56 of 2003) and the relevant regulations. Tenders will be evaluated according to the criteria and weight of the 80/20 preferential procurement system. Bidders must submit a valid Tax Compliance Status PIN issued by the South African Revenue Services.

It is the prerogative of the municipality not to accept the lowest, a part of or any tender at all.
